How to Create a Simple Website for Your Farmers Market [VIDEO DEMO]

Once you've joined the platform and registered an account, the very first thing it's going to ask you to do is to search for the market. We have hundreds of different markets to choose from for different small businesses, solopreneurs, people with various side hustles. We are adding more markets every single week. So, I'm headed to the top, and I'm gonna go ahead and search for my market: Farmers Market. There it is!

Over there, a few basic details about our farmer's market, so it can generate a simple website for our business. I'm gonna go ahead and put in my company name as well as Master C and my state's origin. It doesn't matter where in the world your farmer's market is located. You can enjoy the Mighty Sites servers. We have happy users from all around the globe. Let's go ahead and categorize this as retail, so we can put in our trading hours for our Farmers Market. Click on "Continue" and let Mighty Sites work its magic and create a simple website for us. And there you have it! It's literally done it in not even a minute. Let's take a closer look at what it's come up with together.

Now, the beauty of Mighty Sites is we've pre-written all the content for you as a guideline. Of course, we've pre-selected all the images as well. They're all really high quality, as you can see, and completely free to use. However, I'm sure you've got some amazing images of your farmer's market in action, and you want to display it on your website. You can absolutely do that. So today, that's exactly what I'm going to be showing you. You don't need to know any website coding, you don't need to be a web professional, and you certainly don't need to hire someone to help you with this either. If you're not that tech-savvy, you can do it all yourself.

So, I'm going to go to the first section, go ahead and put in my company email address. I want to make sure that email address is displayed on my website, so I'm going to go ahead and check the box. Let's go ahead and pop in our phone number over here, which is click-to-call, as well as our physical location, street address of our farmer's market. Once your website is live, your customers can click on that address, and it will automatically take them to Google Maps. Under "Update Social Links," you can put in your various social media platforms your business is active on. Icons will be displayed at the top of your website, as well as at the bottom. Let's go ahead and update our logo. If you don't have a logo yet, I do recommend you check out canva.com.

Awesome, the logo has been uploaded. Go ahead and click on the little pencil over it if you want to make amendments, like filters, zooming in, rotating, etc. Let's go ahead and save that over here on the right so we can make it bigger and smaller. Now, with Mighty Sites as well, we've pre-selected all the colors for you. If you want to change the colors because it doesn't quite go with your branding or marketing, go ahead and click on the little paint bucket. Go through the various color palettes available for you to use. Awesome! For each section you want to make amendments to, go ahead and click on "Update Section" directly underneath. Head on over to "Update Image," browse your device, and upload your own. Otherwise, search through the photo library – hundreds of images to choose from, all completely free to use. For each section with content, you can amend it. The button can link to various places. Go ahead and click on "Choose Link" and go through the various options. You can link to an action, you can link to another website, or upload a PDF file if you wish. Awesome, that looks great!

And the last section over here is where you can put in your trading hours. Go ahead and click on "Update" always. Put in your trading hours, so your customers know when they can visit your farmer's market. If you have a custom domain for your business, go ahead and click on "Connect Your Domain." Say, "I already have a domain," go through the various steps and link it. If you don't have a domain, you'd say, "I want a new domain," because you can now purchase your domain via the monthly sizes platform to make your website look even more professional.
