How to Create a Website for a Herb Shop [VIDEO GUIDE]

Once you join the platform, the very first thing it's going to ask you to do is to search for your market. At the top, we have hundreds of different markets to choose from for different small businesses, solopreneurs, people's various side hustles, and we are adding more markets every single week. So, I'm going to hit the top very quickly, and I'm going to go ahead and search for my market: herb shop. There it is over there. Let's go ahead and select that template.

Awesome! Now, Mighty Sites asks for a few basic details about our business so it can generate a simple website for us. I'm going to go ahead and put in my city and my state's origin, and it doesn't matter where in the world your business is located; you can enjoy the Mighty Sites servers. We have happy users from all around the globe. Let's go ahead and click on "continue" and let Mighty Sites to work its magic and create a simple website for us. And there you have it! It's literally done it in not even a minute. Let's take a closer look at what it's come up with together.

Now, the beauty of Mighty Sites is, we've pre-written all the content for you as a guideline. Of course, we've also pre-selected all the images as well. They're all really high quality, as you can see. Let's just wait for the section to load. There we go. Awesome! All the images are completely free for you to use. However, I'm sure you've got some of your own images of all the various herb products you have in stock, and you want to showcase them on your website. You can do that. It's super simple. You don't need to know coding to use the Mighty Sites platform. You don't need to be a web developer or have any sort of skills to do that, and you certainly don't need to hire a professional to help you with this either. You can do it all yourself, even if you're not that tech-savvy.

So, I'm going to go ahead and head to the first section at the top, go ahead and put in my email address. I want to make sure that it's displayed on my website, so I'm going to go ahead and tick the box. Awesome! Let's go ahead and pop our phone number in so our customers can reach out to us. That is click-to-call, by the way. Our physical location, our street's address... The great thing about it is, when your website's live, your customers click on that address, it will automatically take them to Google Maps. Update your social media links. You can put in your various social media platforms your business is active on. Icons will be displayed at the top as well as the bottom of your website. Let's go ahead and update our logo. If you don't have a logo yet for your business, I recommend you check out canva.com. Lots of great free options on the Canva website. The logo's been uploaded. If you want to make any slight amendments to it, edits, add frames, filters, go ahead and click on the little pencil. Otherwise, click on "Save", and you can make it bigger and smaller on the right and customize the size.

Now, with Mighty Sites, as well, we've pre-selected all the colors for you. If you want to change it, maybe these colors don't quite go with your branding and your message, go ahead and click on the little paint bucket on the bottom right-hand corner. Lots of color options to choose from. For each section you want to make amendments to, click on "update section" directly underneath it. Head on over to "update image", browse your device, and upload your own. Otherwise, search through the photo library; hundreds of images to choose from, all completely free to use. You can play around with keywords a little bit and search for various different words and see what pops up. For the contents, click on "update content". You can link the buttons to various places. All you need to do is click on "choose link". You can link to another website if necessary. You can link to an action like click-to-call, directions, or click-to-email. Otherwise, upload a PDF file of your current offers, promotions, maybe of your brochure or catalog. Awesome! Look at that. It's looking so fantastic.

In the last section over here is where you can put in your trading hours for your business, for your customer's convenience. Click on "update hours", put in the various trading hours, so your customers know when you're open. If you have a custom domain for your business, go ahead and click on "connect your domains". "I already have a domain". If you don't have a domain here, click on "I want a new domain", because you can now purchase your domain via the Mighty Sites platform to make your website look even more professional.
