How to Create a Website for Your Watch Store - No Coding

Welcome to the Mighty Sites YouTube channel. In this video today, I'm going to be showing you how to use our platform to borrow a website for your watch store. Once you join the platform, the first thing it's going to ask you today at the top is to search for your market. We have hundreds of different markets to choose from for different small businesses, solopreneurs, and people with various side hustles. Let's head to the top, and let me search for my market: watch store. Awesome! Let's go ahead and select a template.

Great! Little multi starts a few basic details about our watch store, so it can generate a simple website for us. I'm going to go ahead and put in my company name, as well as my city and my state's origin. It doesn't matter where in the world your watch store is located; you can enjoy the multi-site service. We have happy users from all around the globe.

Let's go ahead and change the type of business from restaurant to retail and click on continue. And look at that! Multi starts has literally generated a simple website for my watch store in not even a minute. Let's take a closer look together.

Now, the beauty of multi starts is we've pre-written all the content for you as a guideline, of course, and we pre-selected all the images. They all really high quality, as you can see, and they're completely free to use. However, I'm sure you've got some of your own awesome images of all the beautiful watches you stock in your store, and you want to showcase them on your website. Maybe make one or two changes to that content that was pre-written for you. You can do that. So today, that's exactly what I'm going to be showing you. I'm going to be making my way through each section, from the top to the bottom, giving you a little bit of a look and feel of how the platform works and how simple it is to use. You don't need to be a web professional, you don't need to hire someone to help you with this, and you certainly don't need to know any coding.

So let's get cracking making some amendments. I'm going to make my way to the top and click on the first section over here. I'm going to go ahead and put in my company email address, as well as my phone number. I want to make sure this box is ticked to display my email address on my website. Let's go ahead and put in a physical location, our street's address if we have one, as well as our postal code. Great! Our physical location is now displayed on our website. When our customers click on it, it will automatically take them to Google maps to get directions to our physical location.

Let's head on over to update Social Links. Over here, you can put in the various social media platforms that your business is active on. Icons will be displayed at the top, as well as the bottom of your Mighty Sites website, so your customers can easily give you a follow, get some engagement going, and see what your business is up to.

If you have a logo, go ahead and browse your device and upload it. If you don't have a logo, I do recommend you check out canva.com. There's a few free grades options on the website. Logo has been uploaded. I'm going to click on this little pencil, so I can crop my logo, so it fits a little bit better into that section. You can rotate it, zoom in, add frames, decorate it, filter it, flip it, etc. Awesome! Logo has now been uploaded again. Let's go ahead and click on Save. Now that it's been uploaded, we can make it bigger and smaller, but I think that sizing is perfect, so I'm leaving it exactly the way it is.

Now, with multi-sites as well, we've pre-selected all the colors used throughout your website for you. Basically, we wanted to make it as easy as possible when it comes to launching a website for your watch store. Maybe these colors don't quite go with your branding, your logo, your business cards, and you want to change it. Click on the little paint bucket on the bottom right-hand corner. You don't need to know color coding and go through the various color palettes available for you to use. I'm quite spoiled for choice. I'm not entirely sure which colors to go with. That one looks really great, as well as that's... the gray looks really great. So I'm going to go ahead and save that for now. I can change it at a later stage.

Let's head on over to upgrade image. Now, over here, browse your device and upload your own images. Otherwise, search through the photo library. Hundreds of images to choose from. Multi-size will automatically search for a watch store, but you can play around with the terms a little bit. Search for Rolex or watch and see what pops up. There are loads of suitable images. So I'm going to go ahead and try this one out. Let's take that out. That looks fantastic! Let's go ahead and make sure it's saved and head over to update content.

Now, over here, you can change the title, subtitles to suit your needs. The button currently says "contact us today," which I'm gonna go ahead and leave. You can choose the link. You can link to another website if necessary. Link to an action like "clicks to call", "directions", or "click to email," which I'm going to link to. Otherwise, upload a PDF file. So when your customers click on the button, maybe it will take them to a PDF file of your catalog or the different current specials or promotions you're running. Over here, again, preview and content, but I think and link to various places. Click on "upgrade section" and work your magic.

We've now made our way to the better section. Over here, you can put a little bit more details of how your business came to be. How you got into this industry? Maybe it's a family-run business that's been passed down from generation to generation. Do you buy, sell, and trade new and pre-owned luxury watches? Put all the details over here. Your customers would love to hear your story.

We've now made our way into the services section. Over here, you can put a little bit more details of different services you offer. Do you offer watch repair, watch rentals, battery repairs, sizing, engraving? Maybe you make custom watches as well? Go ahead and put all the details under the services section on what you can offer your clients.

If you need to make any changes to that physical location, update your business hours. Go ahead and do so under "upgrade hours" to display your trading times on your website.

Now, another very important thing with multi-sites is making sure your website is mobile friendly. The majority of your customers will be visiting your website on their mobile phone, so you want to make sure it looks great. Go ahead and click on the mobile phone at the top and get a look and feel of how it looks on a mobile device.
