Hi everyone, and thanks for joining me. So today, I'm going to walk through and share how to create a simple one-page website for a local business using the Mighty Site system. The first thing I will do is see that I'm right here on a local business page. So this business is Sheffield Hardware, good looking store for sure. And you can see there's a Facebook page here. And then I see a few other results for them, but they have 41 reviews and an excellent little Google business profile. It looks like they have a Facebook page, too, so they need a website or one we can find. This would be a perfect example of how to build just a simple one-page website for this business. Super easy to do.

So I'm going to walk through that process now and get started. Now here's the thing. We could find this business because we searched for their business name, and I searched for the city and state they're located in using Google. And that's what you have to do. When it's a business that doesn't have a website, they're usually easy to find. Unless, you know, if you're a current customer or you, or you, you've lived very close by, you can find the business you might have driven past. But if you're looking for a hardware store, maybe they'll come up. But if you're looking for actual, like things that they do, items that they sell, and you're just searching that, you know, if you need a website, Google may or may not know anything about the business.

So just by having a website, a business like this could get a lot more traffic and help people who are visiting the area around the area looking for a specific service or product be able to find them a lot easier than having to search for their, their business name and city and state like that. So that's one of the reasons a website's a good idea if you own a local business. So I'm going to jump in here. Mighty Site is a system I'm going to use. So it's an easy way to create a one-page website for a local business. So here's the Site. You can see there are all sorts of different templates for all types of local companies geared towards businesses like this where, you know, they don't have much of an online presence.

And we know how important it is because people research online before buying and storing. And the first thing people do when they want to shop with a local business is pulling out that phone and start looking for a local business's website. The first thing people do when they refer a business is they like, text the link, Oh, here's their website. It's beneficial to ensure there's a. There's a website there. So I'm going to jump in here. I have a backend to this already. So I'm just going to search for the hardware store template. Here it is. So the company name, let's make sure I spell it right, is Sheffield Hardware. So you just put in the company name there. They are located in Sheffield, Alabama. So it's Chef Field and Alabama. And then this is a retail business.

Then I click continue. And then how can customers get in touch with you to see what their phone number is? Their phone number is right here, so let's copy that over. Has their phone number their email? I don't have their email. Sometimes you can find an email on a Facebook page, so let's look there. Nope. Oh, it seems like it is here. Yep. So they have a domain name, which is perfect. But you can see if you're a customer and like, Oh, on their Facebook page, let me go check out their website. Now you know they don't have a website, so you're hoping you could find some more information. You may want to go shopping at this store. And now you clicked on this link, which they have prominently on their Facebook page.

And unfortunately, it goes nowhere. So that's the domain they should hook up to this new website once it is ready. So let me go over here. Yeah, I don't see an email. And again, here's another link to the website. That doesn't work. So that's a real bummer. So if I go for the customers, I need help finding an email address, so I don't have that for them. So let me go back here. My little zoom thing is blocking the way, so lemme go over here. All right, so no email. So I just clicked continue address. Let's get the rest of the address here. It looks like 3 0 9 Montgomery Ave is their address. Oops, 3 0 9 North Montgomery Ave. So I will put that in this text field. And so postal code, one last piece of info. Let's see. It doesn't show it there. Let's see if we can see it on the GBP again.
Okay, what time are they open? Let's see. Hopefully, these are up to date. Sometimes they're not.

When stores don't keep up their website, which can often confuse consumers, let's see if they have their hours on here. Open, and close the file. There we go. So, 7:00 AM to five. I would want to make these out. So 7:00 AM to five, Monday through Friday. All right, so 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM. So Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, continue. And then, pardon me, seven to three on Saturday, ma'am, till 3:00 PM 3:00 PM and Sunday, Let's see if they're open. They were closed on Sundays. Okay closed on Sundays. All right, so then we've got the essential information in there. I'm just going to put it looks good next.

And now, this part of what makes a system so simple and easy to use is that it automatically generates a simple professional website for the store. So now you can see there's already a simple professional one-page website for the business, which is excellent. Nice and easy. And now it's just a matter of customizing this if you want to, to whatever degree. So is that the address, the phone number? You can see down here that there are now the hours for the business. If I click on Get Directions, it will open in Google Maps. So you can imagine somebody who's on their phone right, this, I put my location in here, but somebody who's on their phone and wants to get directions quickly. Now, that's going to open up for them. Let's see if I switch this over here.

Contact us. Make it a click to call and confirm. So if somebody wants to call and say, Hey, do you have this in stock, or do you offer this service? Now, if somebody's on their phone, if I click on this, you'll see it'll try to call them right there. It's going to open it up. So if I'm on my phone, I will call the business immediately. So that click-to-call feature is nice. So let's learn a little more about this business to customize this. So there is this lovely image on their Google Business profile. I like this a lot, and I'd like to know if this, and you can see they've got some lovely photos here.
That would look good on a website. Let's take some of these photos and see if we need to customize this to our liking. I'm going to leave this main photo here for now. But some of these other photos might look good in some of these sorts. Let's grab a couple of pictures. Let's see. I can't download this, so why don't I go like this? I'm going to move my person here, and let's get, let's take a nice screenshot of this. Like, there we go. Take a screenshot of the store photo there. Thank you. And then grab that for my desktop. I have a lot of things open here. Okay, so I will also need to make this into a jpeg. Nope, I don't have any prior versions. So let's file export to a jpeg. There we go. Let's say the chef field hardware photo. Okay, so now if I go back over here, open back up, Oops, I must go to the tab I was using.

Now browse from my computer Sheffield hardware photo. Great, open that. Now it's uploaded, so I'll save that. There we go. So now we've got a nice image of the business there, which helps personalize the Site. And then let's go over here. Here's another generic photo, but since this business has some lovely images, let's see, we've got a picture from inside the store. That's an excellent paint department. Let's try using that. Let's take the photo here because they have a beautiful store side. So let me get the same thing. Get a nice screenshot and let the fading around it disappear before I do it. Okay, it's like this. Okay, now, the same thing. Let me grab that photo again, and I'll export it as a jpeg. I'll call it Sheffield inside. Okay, then, whoops, I need to grab my browser again. So then I'll go over here to this section and update the section again and browse the Sheffield inside. And now let's say I want to make changes to this photo too, like make any edits to this. I go to the update section, and then I would click on this little arrow. And now, I can make any changes I want using these tools. So I can crop it. If I want the image to crop differently, I can put filters on it, fine-tune it, decorate it, put a frame around it, and redact it.

So there are lots of, lots of tools in here too. So if you want to do something different with the image, you can resize it too. You know, you can lock this and resize it, crop it. So there are all sorts of different things that you can do. If you want, play around with the image and its look on the Site. Potent editing tools in here too. But I'm just going to x out. It looks good the way it is. So now you've got a nice image there inside. This is an excellent genetic journal and hardware site. You've got some information about us here, which I can update easily. Let's see. If they haven't about us, they've already written, then they prefer to use it. So let's see if let me go back.
Oh, I want to link their Facebook page while I'm at it too. So let me jump in here and update this section at the top. You can see the social links are here, so I'm going to put the Facebook page Save close and on the Facebook pages link there too. And then a hardware store; let's see if they have an about us on their Facebook page. So, unfortunately, they still need to write an about section, so it's hard to know about the business. So let me see. Which is something consumers are going to want to know. Let's take this image to give it a shot. We could. We could always upload that as the background hero image if we wanted to. It could look nice, so we could. Let's play around with that and see Save image hardware. Yeah, I wouldn't have used the screenshot, but using this could look nice. So let me update the section date image.

I just downloaded this photo. Let's try that. Save the image. Those, Yeah, so that's, that's pretty nice. You can see their image right there. And you know, it's mobile-friendly too, so many people are going to be on mobile or a tablet. You can see how nice that's going to look for their business. And somebody comes to the Site, you can see it right there. Let's check Facebook to see if they have a logo or anything. They do have a logo. Okay, cool, That's great. So I'm going to grab this logo too. The saved image says the Sheffield logo. Save it. Then if I go back over here again, update the section, the logo, and brows. I was okay. There's the logo. Save the logo. Let's see what that looks like when I upload it. Okay, cool. I can make it a little bigger if I want to. I'm going to crop this.

Because we only really want this part right here. They might have a better version of the logo too. And the one that I just took off Facebook, so you can see it's a little pixelated, but maybe not. And that's okay too. So I just cropped it. You can see using the tools, and there we go. That makes it. That looks pretty nice. So close to that. So now you can see shuffled hardware right here, and you can see the Facebook phone number. So now it's starting to look sharp, and I may make that logo smaller. Let's try. Yeah, that looks good. So I'll close it there. So now you can see the website's looking sharp, and I like their business. They don't have an about section, so I'm kind of, I'm going to use the default, but it would be wise if they want to update that, you know, that you can click on the update section and type what you want there.

But since they don't have that, we won't do it. We won't have anything to put there. But I do have, you know, I have the about here and some excellent images from the store, some details. Now I can also change the colors. So let's see. It looks like they have green and orange. Look, yeah, you can see how that aligns nicely with some of the colors their business has. I'd use something like this for this business. But again, you can. You can change colors here to whatever you want. There are always more color palettes added to this is the default, navy blue. But if you choose to do something different, and I'd, it'd be up in the air whether I wanted to use this one or one like this.
And then again, they're more being added, so that it might be a choice there. As far as which one, it fits the business better. It couldn't go wrong either way. I particularly like this section because it works their colors well. So I'll leave this. I put an ampersand in there, so I'll fix that. These are some of the things that they do offer. So that all seems accurate. And yeah, so this starts to look pretty sharp, quickly and easily, just like their business. And so, I'll save that for now, and let me see if there are any other changes I want to make. I don't see any other social media. We added their photos. What might be nice in this section to make it more relevant? Let me go back here to back here—one more. Oh, Facebook won't let me all. Let's pick out one of these reviews because that might be nice. Let's see. One, here's an, here's a nice one. Let's see if I, oh, I like this one too by Carrie. I love this hardware store. Super helpful.

This that's pretty nice. We'll use a couple here. That is a lovely, excellent way to round out this Site. So I'm going to go back to update this section. I love to paste this right here. See, then I, you know, if you see something like it was black and you want to clear it, make it white stands out better. And then I'm just going to put in getting below it Gary Jenkins customer, you know, I'd be nice to put like customer sense for how long. But we'll just put, we'll just put here Jenkins local customer, and then it'd be nice to put a couple here. Just highlight these for people.

Yeah, this is, this is nice too—highlighting how they're different and better. Now the business can use this too. If they ever wanna like run flyers or things, it's hard for them to, you know, send that anywhere. So if they want local flyers, like, Hey, Google us on the internet, you know, after you see this flyer, what everybody wants to do next is check out their website. And see a little bit more about the business, and decide whether or not to visit that business. So this is, this is by Vanessa. This is easier, too, because now they have a website that says, " Hey, come visit our store while people need to know the address and how to get there and all that. So you can say, visit our website. That's why we have them. So it makes it easier for people to get in touch with the business. So let me go like this. And there we go. So now we've, now we've got a couple of nice quotes there. Let's put the quotations in bold or the reviews in bold.

And so there we go. Now we've got this nice-looking website, a professional website for this store that will help them market. And again, if they run flyers or use their business cards or anything like that, they can send this to, you know, put it on their brochure. Visit us at, you know, they should link this to the website where we found the broken link on their Facebook page. So the chef field hardware.com. That should, you know, they should be using that. They can direct people to this. They can find some simple information, and now they have a friendly professional website to send people to visit. And that only took us a few minutes to build. And so it's only $9 a month. So that includes hosting, making it, and all of that stuff.

That's, it's only $9 a month to build and use this Site for their business. So just like that, they have a simple professional website to start marketing their business, sending more traffic, and helping them get found online. So that's it for today's tutorial.
