How to Make a Simple Website for a Gourmet Grocery Store [VIDEO TUTORIAL]

Once you join the platform, the first thing it's going to ask you to do at the top is to search for your markets. We have hundreds of different markets to choose from for different small businesses, solopreneurs, and people with various side hustles. And we are adding more markets every single week. So, I'm gonna head to the top and I'm gonna quickly search for my market or my grocery store. Let's go ahead and do that. There we go! I'm now going to go ahead and select that template.

Next, tell Mighty Sites a few basic details about our gourmet grocery store so it can generate a simple website for us. I'm going to go ahead and put in my company name as well as my city and my state or region. It doesn't matter where in the world your Gourmet Grocery store is located. You can enjoy the Mighty Sites service. We have happy users from all around the globe. Let's go ahead and change the type of business from restaurants to retail and click on continue.

Maybe make one or two amendments to their content that was pre-written for you. You can do that! So today, that's exactly what I'm going to be showing you. I'm going to be making my way through each section, from the top to the bottom, giving you a little bit of a look and feel of how the service works, how easy it is to use. You don't need to be a web developer, you don't need to be a web professional, and you certainly don't need to know any website coding. So, let's get cracking making some amendments.

I'm going to make my way to the first section at the top, click on update section, and go ahead and put in my company email address as well as my phone number. I want to make sure that my box is ticked to display my email address on my website next to my phone number, by the way, which is click-to-call. Let's go ahead and put in our physical location, our street address, as well as our postal code. The great thing about a physical location is, when your customers click on that address at the top, it will automatically take them to Google Maps to get directions.

Let's head on over to update social links. Over here, you can put in the various social media platforms that your business is active on. Icons will be displayed at the top of your website as well as at the bottom. So, your customers can easily give you a follow, get some engagement going, and see what your business is up to.

Let's move on to update logo. If you don't have a logo, yes, I do recommend you check out canva.com. You'll find a few free great options on the website. The logo is now being uploaded. There we go! I'm now going to click on the little pencil and crop my logo ever so slightly so it fits into that section below the top. You can as well add filters, decorate it, add frames, rotate, zoom in, etc. Awesome! Let's go ahead and click on save again our newly cropped logo. You can make it big and smaller, but that sizing is absolutely perfect now, so I'm going to leave it as is.

Now, with Mighty Sites as well, we've pre-selected all the colors used throughout your website for you. Basically, we wanted to make this easy as possible when it comes to launching a simple website for your Gourmet Grocery Store. If the colors don't quite go with your branding, your logo, your business cards, and you want to change it, click on the little paint bucket on the bottom right-hand corner. No coding necessary! And go through the various color palettes available for you to use. I'm quite spoiled for choice here. I'm not entirely sure which one to select. They're all really great. Some mark of that, when I go that, actually looks really fantastic. So I'm gonna go ahead and select that one.

Let's move along and head over to update image. Now, over here, if you've got your own images, browse your device and upload it. Otherwise, search through the photo library. There are hundreds of images to choose from. You now have the option to connect your Instagram accounts as well with a click of a button.

Under update action, we can change that button with the button, the text on the button, and where those buttons link to. Even uploading a PDF file if you wish, with more rates and services, maybe a catalog of your business. Update contents is where we can make it a little bit more personalized to our business.

In the last section, we have a lead generation form where your customers can easily get in touch with you. You'll find all your leads over in your Mighty dashboard. You'll also get notified by your registered email account when you have a new lead.

Now, if you have a custom domain for your business, which is really important to make it look more personalized, professional, stand out from all your competitors, click on "connect to your domain" to set it up. If you don't have a domain name, click on "order new domain" because you can purchase your domain via the Mighty Sites platform.
