How to Make a Simple Website for Content Writer [VIDEO]

Once you join the platform, the very first thing it's going to ask you at the top is to search for your markets. Now we have hundreds of different markets to choose from, currently over 900, by the way. We are adding more markets every single week for various small businesses. So I'm going to go ahead and search for my market, content writer. Let's go ahead and select that template.

Great! Let's add a few basic details about our business so it can generate a simple website for us. Pop in your city and your state or region. It doesn't matter where in the world your business is located; you can enjoy the Mighty Sites service. We have happy users from all around the globe. Once you click on continue, Mighty Sites will work its magic and create a website for you. It generates it. You'll see this popup come up. Don't worry about this for now; this just shows you how to customize your new website in under 30 seconds. But for now, I'm going to go ahead and show you the ropes today. So I'm going to go ahead and close that.

Now with Mighty Sites, the beauty of it is we have pre-written all the content for you as a guideline. Of course, we've also pre-selected all the images. They're all really high quality, as you can see. They're completely free for you to use as well. However, I'm sure you've got some of your own images. Maybe you want to make one or two amendments to this content that we've written for you, give it a little bit of pizzazz, make it a little bit more personalized to your business. After all, you're a Content writer; I'm sure you can work your magic over here. So today, I'm going to be showing you exactly how to do that, make some amendments to your Mighty Sites website. You don't need to know any coding, be a web professional in any kind of way. So let's get started.

I'm going to click on the first section at the top, and I'm going to pop in my email address over here. I want to make sure that that's visible to my customers, so I'm going to go ahead and check the box. Excellent! Let's pop in our phone number; that is click to call, by the way. And address, physical location; maybe you're strictly an online business, you can leave it off. But if you have one, you can pop it in over here as well. Great!

Under the next section, update Social Links; is where you can put in the various social media platforms your business is active on. Once you've done so, the social media icons will be visible at the top as well as at the bottom of your Mighty Sites website.

Now if you have a logo for your business, head on over to the next section to upload it. Once it's been uploaded, you can click on that little pencil to crop it, rotate it, add filters or frames. And here on the right is where you can make your logo bigger and smaller. Awesome!

Now with Mighty Sites, we pre-selected the colors for you. If you'd like to change them, all you need to do is click on the bottom right-hand corner and go through the various color palettes available for you to use. No color coding needed at all. Awesome! Look at that.

Now for each section you want to make amendments to, click on that update section button directly underneath it. Head on over to update images; is where you can browse your device and upload your own images or search through that photo library. There's hundreds of free high-quality images. You also have the option to connect your Instagram account and pull in all your Instagram photos if you have a profile, that is.

And update action is where we can change those call to action buttons, the text on them, and where they link to, even uploading a PDF file if you wish to, maybe with more information on your rates and services.

In the last section, we have a lead generation form where your customers can easily reach out to you here, keep track of all your leads in your Mighty Sites dashboard. You also have the option to connect a custom domain by clicking on that yellow button at the bottom. If you don't have a domain, we really recommend you get a custom one to make your website look even more professional, trustworthy, and stand out from all your competitors. You can actually click on that button as well, the yellow button, and purchase a custom domain via the Mighty Sites platform.
