Hi everyone, and thanks for joining me for this video. Today I'm gonna show you how to quickly and easily create a website for your carpenter business using Mighty Sites. I'm going to add Denver, Colorado. And then the type of business, usually it's a service business when you're a carpenter.

So I'm going to click continue. And just like that, this website platform will easily create a simple professional website for my carpentry business without me having to do anything other than just typing in that I have a carpentry business. Click on "Update Section" To Make Website Updates

So now, to get started editing this, I click on this update section button to update any of the sections of the Site I want. So if I click on the update section, I'm going to go over here, and first, I'll start by just adding my phone number. So I want people to get in touch with me. So here's my phone number. Let's also add my email address so people can get in touch with me there. I've added my email address, and then I can check this little button if I want my email to show on the Site. I don't need to put in my address because I usually do projects with four people at their location, so I'm saving that. Now, if I have like an Instagram, I may have an Instagram of my work, instagram.com/mightysites.

Add Social Media Links For Your Carpentry Business

So I can add that in there. You can copy and paste your link. I'll have my Facebook page too. You know, I'll type it out. But you can. You can easily copy and paste your link. And if I save those and close them, now my social media links are there. So now my contact information's all included on my website. I didn't have to do coding, programming, or anything like that. Now, if I go over to the update section, I can easily add links to my main navigation here too. So I can type in a text, choose a link, and choose for that to link somewhere on my website. So if I wanted to add a link to my lead form, when somebody clicks on it, they go right to submitting.

Create, Upload and Edit Your Business Logo

If I want to upload a PDF or have them call me or email me, I can do any of those things and add additional links to my main menu. I can also upload a logo. So if you have a logo already, you can browse and upload it here. I'm going just going to show you canva.com. It's an easy-to-use platform, but if I go there and create a design, I can select Canva's logo, which is really cheap and inexpensive. They have free options too, but you can select the logo here. I'm going to put in Carpenter because I'm hoping to create a logo for a carpenter. And then look, it gives you all these different predesigned logos, which makes life easy when you want to create a simple logo for your business.

So I'll select this one for now. I'm going to use the white background version. And then what I'm going to do, I'm just going to put the Carpenter logo, and then all I need to do from here is download it to my computer, and I'll let that download from Canva. And then I go right over here to browse, upload, and here's my logo. So now I upload it from my computer, and as soon as it uploads, it's, I click save. And now I can see it here. Now I can make it bigger by clicking on the "Make It Bigger" button. I can make it smaller by doing the same thing, or I can click on this little pencil icon to edit it, which I want to do. And basically, I'm going to use the cropping tool.

Now all these editing tools are built into Mighty Sites for editing pictures, logos, and things like that. So this is all. This all comes with the tools. So I'm going to crop it like that, make it a little smaller. And then I may want to add a filter, too, just because of the background, to help it blend in. But you can see there are all these different filters that I can choose from. Can choose the warm one. I could also fine-tune and annotate. I can add a frame around it or decorate it. You've got all these excellent image editing tools available to you. But I'm going to click done after that, and I'm just going to save the logo again. There we go. I like the way that that looks with the rest of the Site. And now my business has a logo, too, right?

So that was easy to do. I could make it bigger but still, make it smaller. That's a pretty good size for the rest of the Site now. So you can see my location, my contact information, my social media, my logo, and my website links. They all come together nicely, quickly, and easily on the Site. And again, this whole Site is mobile friendly too. So you're building a mobile-friendly website for your business. Next, I'll edit the hero section. So if I go to the update section and want to put, you know, maybe I want to edit this a little bit. So I'll just put professional Carpenter services. Carpentry may be more grammatically correct there. High-quality work with exceptional customer service.

Edit Text and Images Using The Mighty Sites Website Builder Software

So again, I can maybe I want, want to capitalize on some of this. I can do that. And then I can, you know, maybe I'll do exceptional Dash service. And now you can see I just made some simple edits to the main hero image schedule and estimate. That's a great call to action. So maybe I want to decide where that button will link. I can have it linked to call me, so if I confirm and save that, now when someone clicks on that, it'll automatically call me, right? Or I can have that go to my lead form, which is excellent too, which is the lead form section, and click confirm and save. And now, if somebody clicks on schedule an estimate, it'll take them to this form to get in touch with my business. So that makes it simple and easy when someone comes here looking for a carpenter.

So now you can see that because the images are included in things, this website's coming along nicely. And if I like this color theme, which I do, I think this is great, but let's say you have a different color theme for your business. You click on that paint can and can change to whichever color theme you want. As you can see, I just changed the whole look of my website to a brand new color theme just by clicking on that paint can. And then there are all of these different color style options. Depending on what type of look you want for your website, you can thumb through these and change them so that the website looks as you want it to. Now, you can change those colors at any time. You're not locked in. So if you change your logo or branding, you want to switch colors. It's that easy to go in, click on the paint can, and find the color palette that works for you.

Now, if I want to change any of this text anywhere, that's also really easy for me to do. So like, let's say this contact, I want that to call me. I'll change that to click to call and save it. Let's say I want to go over here and update the text. I can go here and say this is how you make a website for a carpenter. Easy and simple. So I just added some texts there, and now you can see it reflected on the Site. So again, that's a. It's really easy to point and click. So if there's a text written for you, there are images licensed for you to use, but you can also quickly and easily change any of this to your liking. If you offer services that aren't listed here and add, you know, additional service and then save whatever that service is, you can add it there, and it'll be added to the bullet points, too, for the services.
