Hi everyone, and welcome to today's video. So I'm going to show you how to quickly and easily create a simple one-page website for a hardware store. So I'm going to share my screen now. The most accessible platform to do this is Mighty Sites, where you can start a free trial, click on launch or go down here and find your business type. There are templates for all small and local businesses; find your business type and select that template. So I'm going to go in right here, and I'm going to choose a hardware store because I'm going to create a simple one-page website for a local hardware store called this Keegan's Hardware Store in Denver, Colorado. And the business type will be a retail store. I'm going to click on continue. And then how can customers get in touch with you?
Get Started On Your New Website
You can add your phone number and email address here. Now, if you have any questions along the way during the process, you can start a chat right here, and you'll be able to chat with the money site support. So if you have any questions as you're going through, you can always do that, but you enter your phone and email and then enter your address. And then, once you type those in, I'll show you where they'll show up and how you can order them on the back end too. So once I do that, I click continue, and then I pick my store hours. And if I, let's say, I'm open from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM and Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. And then I'll click continue. And then it's going to say, What time are you open on Sunday?
Just say I'm closed Sundays. This all looks good. Now again, I didn't put in my phone number and all that. You definitely should, but I'm kind of skipping through to show you how this works. So I'll click on Looks good next. And now, just like that, the system will automatically generate a simple professional website for my hardware store. So again, it makes it easy for you. And then here, the update section. I have the chance to go in and enter my address and everything right here too. Add my store hours or update them if I want this action button to do something else. I would like to instead of getting directions. I want them to call me or link somewhere else. I can go to my website actions and upload a pdf. Do any of these things here too?
Editing The One Page Hardware Store Website Template
So it makes it simple, really simple, and easy to edit. If my store colors are something different, let's say I'm more of a red brand, like red and gray, or maybe it's blue is my brand. Here's another, like darker red, here's an earthy tone. So you can scroll through and pick the colors that work for your business. So whatever you like best and feel represents your hardware store, then you click save when you're done. All of this is easy to edit. So if I go here to update the section, I can browse for my logo on my computer and upload that. I can also update any of the menu items. I can add my social media links, and those will automatically populate. So if I click on this button, I add my Twitter and my Facebook, and click on "save and close." Now those have linked up there. Same
Thing thing. If I add my phone number, email address, or anything like that, it will also update up there. So once that's all set, if I want to update any of the contact stuff here, I want them to be able to click on this and take, you know, get driving directions. As soon as I put in my address, I can say, you know, when somebody visits my website, which they might do on mobile, and they click on that, I want them to drive directly to my store, any of this that I need to update. I click here and say, this is the hardware store's simple one-page website template. So I can go in here and quickly and easily edit the text, click save, and then it'll show up right there. Same with any of these images that I want to change too.
Preparing to Launch Your New Website
So it's an easy product to build this website for your business. And once everything looks good and you're comfortable with all the changes you've made, any images, all of this is pre-licensed for you too, so you don't have to change any of these images stuff. But if you have nice local pictures of it, it's always a good idea to personalize it with your exact information. But once everything looks good, you can go back to the back end, click on stop editing, go to the site dashboard, and then easily connect a domain. So if you own a Go Daddy domain, a Google Domain, or anything like that, you can secure your domain. You can click right here to go back to updating the site if you need to make changes at any time.
Connect Your Domain and Launch Your Website For Your Hardware Store
And if I go back to the site dashboard now, if you want to put a contact form on here, you can also do that. You can update the social links. You can update your location information and then connect a domain. So as soon as you do that, it'll join and be directly connected to your website. So if you want to create a simple professional one-page website for a hardware store, this is only $9 a month, so it's cheap as well, which makes it a great bargain to get something up and running for your business. You can connect it to your Google business profile or anything like that to get started. So everything's included, The front end editor, the website template, the hosting, the site dashboard the ability to connect a domain that's all included for that price. So it's an excellent, easy way to start and set up your business. So that's how you create a hardware store website.
