How to Make a Website for an Italian Grocery Store

So, once you've joined the platform, the first thing it asks you to do at the top is to search for your markets. We have hundreds of different markets to choose from for different small businesses, solopreneurs, and people with various side hustles, and we are adding more markets every single week. So, I'm gonna head to the top quickly and I'm gonna search for my market: Italian grocery store. Let's go ahead and do that. Awesome! I'm now going to go ahead and select their template. Excellent. Let's tell Mighty Sites a few basic details about our business so it can generate a simple website for us. I'm gonna go ahead, I'm gonna put in my company name as well as my city and mustardize origin. Foreign. It doesn't matter where in the world your Italian grocery store is located; you can enjoy the Marty site service. We have happy users from all around the globe.

Let's go ahead and change your type of business from restaurant to retail. Click on "continue", let Mighty Sites work its magic, and create a simple website for me. And there you have it! It's literally done it in not even a minute. Let's take a closer look at what it's come up with together.

Now, the beauty of Mighty Sites is, we've pre-written all the content for you as a guideline. Of course, we've pre-selected all the images as well. They are all really high quality, as you can see, and they're completely free to use. However, I'm sure you've got some awesome images of all the gourmet Italian groceries you're stocking in your store, and you want to make one or two amendments to that content. You can absolutely do that. So today, that's exactly what I'm going to be showing you. I'm going to be making my way through each section from the top to the bottom, giving you a little bit of a look and feel of how the platform works and how simple it is to use. You don't need to know coding, you don't need to be a web developer, and you certainly don't need to be a hardware professional either to help you with this.

So, let's get cracking. I'm going to click on the first section at the top, go ahead and put in my company email address as well as my phone number. I want to make sure my email address is displayed on my website, so I'm going to go ahead and tick the box. Awesome. Let's go ahead and put our phone number in. That is click to call, by the way. I'm now going to go ahead and put in my physical address, my street's address. Let's go ahead and pop that in as well as our postal code. Awesome. Let's go ahead and click on "Save". The great thing about that location, when your customers click on it in the top left-hand corner, it automatically will take them to Google maps to get directions to your physical location.

Let's go ahead and add our social media links over here. You can put in the various social media platforms your business is active on. The icons will be displayed at the top of your website as well as the bottom, so your customers can easily give you a follow, get some engagement going. Whoops! And see what your business is up to. Let's go ahead and click on "Save" and move along over here.

Let's go ahead and upload our logo. If you don't have a logo yet for your business, I do recommend you check out canva.com. There are lots of free, great options on the website. Once my logo has been uploaded, I'm gonna go ahead and click the little pencil over it, just to crop my logo ever so slightly so it fits better into that section. You can add filters as well, you can decorate it, add frames, rotate it, zoom in, flip it, etc. Awesome. Let's go ahead and re-upload the newly cropped logo. There we go. You can make it bigger and smaller, so I'm going to go ahead and make it ever so slightly smaller. Awesome! Look at that. Fantastic!

Let's move on. Now with my tea sauce, as well, we've pre-selected all the colors used throughout your website for you. Basically, we want to make this as easy as possible when it comes to launching a simple website for an Italian grocery store. Maybe this color doesn't quite go with your branding, your signage, your logo. You want to change it? No color coding necessary. Click on the little paint bucket on the bottom right-hand corner, go through the various color palettes available for you to use. So, I'm going to go ahead, and I think I'm going to select something quite red, like that. It looks absolutely fantastic, as well as that drama. I'm now going to go ahead and select that one. Awesome.

Let's move along and head over to the update section over here. Browse your device and upload your own images. Otherwise, search through the photo library. There are hundreds of images to choose from, all completely free to use. Mighty Sites will automatically search for "Italian grocery store", but you can play around with the terms a little bit. Search for various keywords and just see what pops up. So, that one could be quite suitable, but I'm going to go ahead and just search for cheese. Let's give it a bash. Or, maybe look for pasta. Awesome. I think I'm gonna go ahead and select this one for now. I can change it at a later stage if need be. My Italian grocery store has quite the cheese selection. Look at that. It looks fantastic.

Let's head on over to the "Upgrade Contents" now. Over here, the title, subtitle can be amended. This content over here, the button currently says "Contact Us Today", which I'm happy with. You can change it if need be. Go ahead and click on "Choose Link". You can link to another website if necessary, an action like "Click for Directions" or "Click to Email". So, I'm going to link to "Click to Email". Otherwise, you could upload a PDF file, maybe with your current promotions and offers.

Over here, again, pre-written content. The button can link to various places. Click on "Update Section" and work your magic. We've now made our way to the "About" section over here. You can put a little bit more details about how your business came to be. How long you've run your Italian grocery store, maybe it's a family-run business and it's been passed down from generation to generation. What you're well-known for, and what your specialities are. Any awards you may have won. Your opening hours. I'm gonna go ahead and put in my company name, contact details, etc., and I'm gonna go ahead and change the title.

Remember, everything's customizable. You can change anything you'd like on your website. All you have to do is click on that section and click on "Update Section". Again, here, your customers can leave testimonials for you. You can add in videos, pictures, whatever the case may be. Let's scroll on down to our "Footer" over here, just to the bottom. Now, this section is actually quite interesting. You can add a QR code, which is very handy for your customers to go ahead and download your app or maybe a coupon, promotions, offers, whatever the case may be.

Over here is a signup form where you can capture email addresses of your customers and start sending out newsletters, promotions, and offers. It's a very nifty feature. And over here, in the "Footer", last but not least, is your contact details and your location. I'm gonna go ahead and put in my physical address as well as my email address, my phone number. Everything is click to call, click to email. So it's very user-friendly and very customer-friendly, as well. Let's go ahead and click on "Save".

I think I'm gonna go ahead and publish my website, just for now. It looks fantastic! I'm gonna go ahead and click on "Publish". I can give it a few more final touches a little bit later on, as well. You can link it to your domain. If you haven't bought a domain yet, I do recommend you check out Godaddy.com. I'm gonna go ahead and click on "Publish" and there we have it. Our website is now live, it's been created, and it's literally taken us not even five minutes.
