Now, once you join the platform, the first thing it's going to ask you to do is search for your market. We've got hundreds of different markets to choose from for various small businesses, and we're adding more markets every single week. Let's head to the top and search for our market—retail store. There it is! I'm now going to go ahead and select that template.

Great! Let's enter a few basic details about our retail store so it can generate a simple website for us. Pop in your business name, city, and state or region. It doesn't matter where in the world your business is operating from—you can enjoy the Mighty Sites service. We have happy users from all around the globe.

Once you click on that continue button, Mighty Sites will work its magic and generate a simple website for your business using the information you've just entered. It’ll do all the hard work and automatically bring up this popup showing you how to customize your new website in under 30 seconds. Don't worry about that for now—let's close it up, because today I'm going to be the one to show you the ropes.

The beauty of Mighty Sites is that we've actually pre-written all the content for you. This is just a guideline, of course. We've also pre-selected all the images as well. They’re all high-quality and completely free for you to use. They look professional and definitely don’t look like they’ve been taken on a mobile phone.

However, I’m sure you've got some of your own images you'd like to showcase on your website—of your retail store, the various products you have, maybe some behind-the-scenes shots. You might also want to make one or two amendments to the content—perhaps you don’t offer all the services listed, or maybe you want to tell your customers a bit more about how your business came to be.

To make changes on the Mighty Sites platform, you don’t need to know any coding whatsoever. You don’t need to be a web professional or have any web development skills at all. And you certainly don’t need to hire someone to help you. You can literally do it all yourself—even if you’re not that tech-savvy. It’s easy enough to launch and manage from your smartphone.

So let’s get started. I’m going to click on the first section at the top and click on "Update Section." Here, I’ll enter a few basic details about my retail store. I want to make sure that the email address is visible for my customers, so let’s go ahead and check that box. Awesome! The phone number is click-to-call, and for the physical location—when your website is live, your customers can actually click on the address and be taken directly to Google Maps for directions.

Under "Update Social Links," put in the various social media platforms you're active on. Once you’ve done so, the icons for your social channels will be displayed at the top as well as at the bottom of your Mighty Sites website, so your customers can follow you and get some engagement going.

Now in the next section—if you have a business logo, head on over to upload it. If you don’t have a logo, check out our other videos—we have loads of recommendations to get a free logo for your business. You don’t need a huge budget, especially if you’re just starting out. Once your logo has been uploaded, you can click on the little pencil icon to crop it, rotate it, add filters or frames, and make minor edits. You can also use the controls on the right to resize your logo and fit it better into the layout.

We’ve also pre-selected the colors for you. We wanted to make it as easy as possible to launch a simple website for your retail store. But if you’d like to change those colors, click on the paint icon in the bottom right-hand corner. Go through the various color palette options—there are so many to choose from.

If you’d like to change the buttons, the call-to-action text, or the images—or if you want to upload your own—click on the "Update Section" button. Under "Update Image," you can browse your device to upload your own pictures, or you can search through our photo library. We’ve literally got thousands of free, high-quality images to choose from. They’re all very professional-looking.

You also have the option to connect your Instagram account with a single click to automatically pull in your most recent photos—if you have an Instagram profile, of course.

Under "Update Action," you’ll find those call-to-action buttons. You can change the button text, where it links to, and even upload a PDF file.

In the last section at the bottom, you can put in your opening hours for your customers' convenience. Head on over to "Update Hours" and put in the various opening hours for each day of the week. Once you click save, the page will automatically reload and display your hours in the bottom section.
