Make a Website for Your Perfume Store [VIDEO GUIDE]

So, once you've joined the platform, it's going to go ahead and ask you to search for your market over here. We have hundreds of different markets to choose from for different small businesses, solopreneurs, and people with side hustles. So, I'm gonna head to the top, and I'm going to search for my market: perfume store. I'm now going to select that template. Great! Let's summarize a few basic details about our perfume store so it can work its magic and create a one-page website for us. Let's go ahead and put in our company name— whoops! — as well as our city and our state or region. Now, it doesn't matter where you're located in the world; you can use the Mighty Sites service. We have happy users from all around the globe. Let's go ahead and change our type of business from restaurant to retail and click on continue.

Great! How can our customers get in touch with us? Let's pop our phone number in over here, as well as our email address that our customers can reach us on. Let's click continue and move along. Where is our perfume store located? Let's put our street address in, as well as our postal code, and click on continue. Let's get our hours set up. What time do we open on a Monday? So, I'm assuming standard retail hours for a store here. So, I'm going to say we open from 9 am until 5 pm. We also open on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. We're closed on Sundays because Sundays are for rest and relaxation. So, I'm gonna go ahead and say we're closed on Sundays. Let's do a quick review; make sure everything's in order. Looks pretty good to me. So, I'm going to go ahead and click next and let Mighty Sites do its thing.

And look at that! Mighty Sites have literally generated a one-page website for me. Let's take a closer look. Wow! Now, the beauty of Mighty Sites is we've pre-written all the content for you as a guideline. Feel free to use it, or you can change it to suit your business needs. We've also pre-selected all the images. As you can see, they're all really high-quality images, and the great thing about it is they're completely free to use. No licenses needed! They look really fabulous, and I'm sure you actually stock this perfume. I know it's very popular. However, if you have your own images of your perfume store or the different products, and you want to make a few amendments, it's super simple. So, today, I'm going to be walking you through each section from the top to the bottom, making my way through because you can have a little bit of a look and feel of how the service works, how easy it is to use. You don't need to know any coding. Gone are the days when you need to create a website, where you need to hire a web developer, or you need to know coding. That's absolutely not necessary here. So, I'm gonna head to the top, and I'm gonna work my way through and start with the top section and make it a little bit more suitable to my business. So, I'm going to hit the update section at the top, and the first thing I'm going to do is click on "show email on site" so my email address is displayed in the top right. I'm gonna next to my phone number, which is click to call, by the way. Let's go ahead and click save. Our street address, our physical location, will be displayed in the top left-hand corner. And the great thing about that is when your website is live, and your customers click on that button on the top left-hand corner, it will automatically take them to Google maps to get directions to your perfume store. Let's go ahead and pop our social media platforms in over here. The icons will be displayed in the top right-hand corner. Let's go ahead and upload our logo. If you don't have a logo yet, I recommend you check out Canva.com. There are lots of great options over there. Once your logo has been uploaded, go, you can click on this little pencil over here to make slight amendments to add croppers, rotate it, zoom in, and filter it. Add filters if need be on the right, where you can make it bigger and smaller. Awesome!

Now, with Mighty Sites as well, we've pre-selected all the colors used throughout your website for you. If you want to change it to suit your branding, your logo, you don't need to know color coding. All you need to do is click on the little paint bucket on the bottom right-hand corner and go through the various color palettes available for you to use. Awesome! If you need to make any amendments to your contents or images for each section, click on "update section" underneath and head over to update image. Now, over here, you can browse your device and upload some of your own images. Otherwise, search through the photo library. There are hundreds of images to choose from, and they're all completely free for you to use. When you head over to "update content," you can change the title, subtitle, and all the content for each section. Buttons can link to various places, and you can change the text on them. This one currently says "contact us today." Go ahead and choose the link. You can link to another website, maybe you take online bookings, for example. Otherwise, you can link to an action: click to call, directions, click to email. A great option is to upload a PDF file with your current promotions, offers, or like a brochure of your business. Awesome! Look at that! In the last section over here, your customers can reach out to you. All they need to do is put in their contact details, click on send, and you will get notified by your registered email address that you have a lead by this form. You'll also find all your leads over in your Mighty dashboard. If you have a custom domain for your business, go ahead and click on "connect your domain." So, I already have a domain. Go through the various steps in linking it. If you don't have a domain yet, maybe you've recently launched your business. Click on "I want a new domain," because you can now purchase your domain via the Mighty Sites platform.
